Founded in 2022, the Maldives Heritage Society is an independent voice for heritage conservation, preservation and promotion of the rich heritage of Maldives.
Heritage Trail
The first of its kind in Maldives, the Laamu Gan Heritage Trail knows as “Tharika Maga” project was inaugurated on 24 October 2023. Stretching about 1 km in length, the Trail meanders through Coastal Vegetation of Laamu Gan. It links up cultural heritage site called “Haiytheli”, a buddist stupa and natural heriage site called “Paree Fenganda”, a natural lake surrounded by lush green trees of Mangrove.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the High Commissioner for the warm welcome and the productive meeting. It was a valuable opportunity to discuss potential areas of collaboration and support for our work.
